Arabic Mehndi
Bold floral and geometric designs with lots of negative space. Covers less of the hand, dries faster, and tends to give a deeper stain. Popular for mehndi nights and pre-wedding events.
Indian Mehndi
Intricate, detailed designs that cover the full hand and arm, often featuring the groom's name and faces. Takes 2–3 hours to apply but results in a rich, dark stain.
Which Should You Choose?
Many brides opt for a fusion — Indian-style intricacy on the palms with Arabic patterns on the back of the hand. Talk to your artist about what works best for your aesthetic.
